Project Experience
Data Science Course Project | Image Captioning System
- Developed an encoder–decoder image captioning system with an attention mechanism using Flickr30k, a pretrained ResNet-50, and an LSTM network.
- Evaluated model performance using cross-entropy loss and BLEU scores.
- Deployed the model in a Flask web application.
Cathay Pacific – CUHK Practicum | Photolog System
- Trained and deployed YOLOv8 models for detecting and classifying cargo-plane latch statuses.
- Annotated more than 1,400 images and expanded the dataset to more than 10,000 images through augmentation.
- Developed a Python/Flask/MySQL photolog system supporting aircraft inspection workflows.
Research Assistant Project | Little Red Book Crawler App
- Developed a Python crawler application to collect user and post information for research purposes.
